I began this journey 16 years ago as a finance intermediary for private/institutional mortgage bankers. My family and I moved to Central FL from Durham, NC where I was instrumental in transitioning minority-owned Mechanics & Farmers Bank from a mortgage portfolio lender into an approved FNMA seller-servicer thereby increasing the bank’s liquidity by entering the secondary market.

Always attracted to commercial real estate (CRE), our team team secured commitments of more than $250 million dollars in CRE deal flow. I expanded my investment underwriting expertise by joining the Certified Commercial Member Institute (CCIM) as a candidate. CCIMs are recognized internationally as leading CRE experts. In 2012 I was accepted into CCIM’s local Mentor-Mentee Program under mentor Blaine Strickland, CCIM, Orlando’s best-selling author of Adapt. Minority-owned firms were underrepresented in the CRE space when we started. Fortunately, the Orlando CCIM Chapter sponsored lunch and learns as part of its Mentor-Mentee outreach. Participants were introduced to top CRE dealmakers in our area like John Crossman (Crossman & Company), Robin Webb (Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT), and Craig Ustler (Ustler Development Inc.) to name a few. Although I currently manage the firm’s tax and accounting divisions, I owe a debt of gratitude to Blaine and the CCIM team for their contribution to my professional growth. I hold an active broker’s license to this day.

To weather the economic downturn that rocked our industry in 2007-2008, we scaled back while I completed my BSBA at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship (NSU), earned an MBA in Accounting from Florida Tech, and a graduate certificate in Advanced Accounting from Keller Graduate School of Management in Orlando. I evolved into a trusted advisor. Clients saw increases in asset performance by 30% or more. Good books and records increased loan approvals by at least 50% and made tax compliance a snap. The firm evolved into a symbiotic ecosystem in which the beneficiaries were creditors, clients, and their staff. 

In 2016 we morphed into a full-service advisory to reinforce our ability to solve problems for real estate professionals in a holistic way. As an IRS enrolled agent, I belong to a network of federally-authorized tax practitioners with technical expertise in the field of taxation and who are empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels—examination, collection, and appeals—of the Internal Revenue Service since. Our clients sleep better than most.

Folks appreciate that we are not a big national chain but offer a more personal touch.. Our firm is accredited by our local BBB with an A+ rating. Not everyone is the same. High income individuals expect service levels carried out efficiently with discretion and competency. We tell you what you need to hear rather than make a quick buck by selling you on an easy fix. My husband Vance and I are avid jazz fans and enjoy social events on Florida’s Space Coast sponsored by the Brevard Music Group (BMG). We’ve been married for forty years, enjoy the beach, the mountains, German Shepherds, spiritual growth and lots of seafood. Vance brings his expertise in electrical ecosystems to our digital platform.
